The 70th Annual Meeting of The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has ended with the election of the Head of the Nigeria Delegation, Hajiya Binta Abdulkadir, as the Vice-Chairman of Council for a one-year tenure. She succeeds Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa of Ghana.

Ghana has swept all the top three International Excellence awards instituted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) which seeks to honour candidates with outstanding performance in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Today, the 16th day of March 2020, marks the 68th anniversary of the establishment of our flagship organization, The West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
