    Bravo, Black Stars

Bravo, Black StarsOn behalf of the Chairman, Members of Council and  entire Staff of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Liberia, I congratulate the Black Stars of Ghana on their spectacular performance in their first Match in the ongoing 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa.

We are indeed very proud of these worthy ambassadors of our member country, Ghana, and we are confident that their performance in the Ghana vs. Serbia match on Sunday, June 13, 2010 will be an impetus, not only to them but also to the other representatives of the West African Sub-region in the tournament.

We cherish and support the two teams, the Black Stars of Ghana and the Super Eagles of Nigeria, from the member countries of WAEC.

It is our hope in WAEC that the brilliant performance with which the Black Stars have started will be sustained and even improved upon as the tournament progresses.

We are praying fervently that the World Cup will be won for the continent of Africa by a member country of the West African Examinations Council.

Congratulations, Black Stars! Keep up the good performance.

    MULIKAT A. BELLO (ALHAJA, MRS.)
    THE REGISTRAR
