The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) scrutinizes its activities and procedures periodically so as to monitor its achievements against its goals and aspirations. The purpose of this study was, therefore, to identify and evaluate major pre-examination procedures of the Computer Services Division (CSD) in order to ascertain the continued relevance and effectiveness of the activities to their user-departments.
The system of education, which operates in any country/society, should aim, primarily, at serving the needs, particularly the manpower and other developmental needs of the country.
The study replicated an earlier study by investigating the development and administration of parallel forms of tests in Council’s examinations.
The study investigated the development and administration of parallel forms of tests in Council’s examinations as a means of curbing examination malpractices. Two parallel forms of tests made up of alternatives A and B in English Language 1 (Essay) and Mathematics 2 (Theory) were administered to students.
The study investigated the factors responsible for the good but sharp astronomical improvement in candidates’ performance in Biology in the November/December 2002 when compared with previous years.
For an organization to be successful it must continuously ensure the motivation and satisfaction of its employees. This is particularly critical for Organisations like WAEC where excellence is the watch word.
